Last week, the Smartcalls team returned from Luxembourg where they took part in Arch Summit — the event organized by Vodafone for connecting corporate decision-makers and young start-ups.
The platform brought together four groups of participants:
- Vodafone partners and suppliers;
- Consulting companies;
- Business looking for solutions to optimize processes.
One of the key activities at the event was start-up pitches: each speaker had three minutes to present their solution and two minutes to answer questions. The best projects selected by the jury fell under two categories:
- Future Tech Competition: Open to all startups with tech solutions that have the potential to transform the industries that they operate in, from disruptive AI to life-changing IoT solutions.
- Social Impact Award: For startups that are focused on making a positive impact on our world and solving the most important problems facing our society today. Equality, the environment, medicine, and personal wellbeing, are just a few examples.
We presented Smartcalls in the first category: our team prepared a presentation with a clear indication of the market, monetization model, and competitive advantages of the service. Although the pitch did not win the competition, it aroused interest among the audience.
The Smartcalls team also presented its solutions at the booth in the expo zone and held a large number of meetings with potential customers and partners.
For us, Arch Summit is an opportunity to get acquainted with the leaders of the European telecommunications market and to gain useful contacts with representatives of the Vodafone partner network. Participation at such events is crucial for companies planning to work in Europe and build long-term relationships with other industry players.
